The Best Venue is one That Does the Work for you.

There is a reason that the venue is the first major decision to be made when planning an event. The venue sets the tone for the entire event.

Case in point: You could have the same musicians, the same food, the same guest list, and the same theme and the event would be completely different in a castle versus a warehouse, right?

Admittedly, this contrast presents an extreme example. You’re probably not deciding between castles and warehouses when selecting your event space. But if you live in or near a major metropolitan area, you likely have a broad range of venue options.

The best venue is one that does the work for you. We don’t mean that literally, though on-site support and catering options are a critical factor to consider. We mean that the venue itself — just the space — speaks volumes about your event.

If you have an evening event in a space with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring panoramic, sweeping views of a breathtaking cityscape, your event instantly projects high-class yet unfussy sophistication.

If you host a brunch in a grand hall with soaring ceilings, shimmering chandeliers and ornate architectural detail, your event is automatically associated with elegance and grandeur.

If your cocktail reception is in a historic lounge that screams “flapper chic,” your event will scream the same thing.

You get the idea.

Unfortunately, the opposite is also true. You can spend a fortune on decorations in an attempt to cover up unpleasant or conflicting elements of a space, but no amount of expensive window dressing will turn a drafty, soulless room into something memorable.

Why not start with an incredible venue and save the money you would have had to spend on décor and bells and whistles? Food for thought. (Mmm, food. That gets us thinking about catering again…)
